Barbado Sheep:  Since 1990 we have put together a group of Barbado sheep for the highest horn production possible.  An interesting Hobby that turned into a lot of fun (and work too).  There is a waiting list for the babies if you are interested.  These sheep herd very easily, they tolerate Texas heat and humidity, are small enough for an average woman to handle and are generally easy to manage.  I really like the bottle babies, though they can be a pest at times.   Cost will depend on color (Barbado Blackbelly, Painted Desert, Corsican & Hawaiian Black). 

Females come into estrus at 6-8 months of age and cycle on average every 17 days.   Email the Ranch for availability. 

Winter babies hitting the ground and a limited number will be available March/April  2009.

Californian Rabbits:   Started out as a 4H project for my niece and has really taken off these past years with the first two years 2003 & 2004 as Reserve Grand Champion   These were purchased by Richard Burroughs Law Firm, Cleveland (281) 592-5234.

In 2005 she got her first Grand Champion pen of Rabbits not bad for a 10 year old little girl.

A big thanks to Lamb Propane of Coldspring Texas (936) 653- 3537 for their purchase.

She again met her goal and received another Grand Champion Rabbit Pen for 2006 selling for  top dollar $2000.00 to Huntsville Livestock Services - Tommy Oates (936) 295-4483.

Another well deserved congratulations for her 2007 Grand Champion Pen of Rabbits in San Jacinto County.  The competition was really tough.  The proud owners Jim Polk & grandkids.  Mr. Polk is the owner of Brookshire Brothers, Coldsprings (936) 653-8200. 

In 2008 she showed to Reserve Grand Champion with a very tough round of competition from both 4-H'ers and FFA students.  We issue a big thanks to Jennifer Starnes Reality service  (832) 660-7511 - Spring Texas for the outstanding purchase.

We are very proud of her and look forward to 2009. 

She has intentions of competing in the Houston Livestock show in 2009- the does did not kindle so we will not show at the HLS.
